APS Win Shelter ECO Lighting Project

APS have scooped a high profile project to light nearly 3000 bus shelters with new carbon-busting environmentally friendly LEDs. The new fittings use only half the electricity of normal lamps and last for up to 50,000 hours which means over their lifetime major savings in carbon are achieved. The project for West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (METRO) and administered by consultants White Young Green is the latest in a series of projects that APS have been involved in where energy saving is one of the prime objectives. Contract Manager Lee Orton said' We are extremely pleased to have been appointed main contractor for this project because carbon reducing building services technology sits so comfortably along side the company's environmentally sensitive ethos'
